Good Food Award - Website Changes

Published on 1st November 2019, our Good Food Awards recognised the hard-working teams who had striven for culinary excellence within their field.

Competition for our range of Good Food Awards was unsurprisingly tough. A record 535,912 UK food premises brought a record number of entrants and winners. Some 10,277 votes were cast for the finalists by readers, customers and fans alike.

We have been delighting our readers and fans since 2002, our unique awards recognise only those who we believe to be amongst the best in their Category. Until now, we had been adding our new award winners to our websites every year, resulting in an online directory of past and present winners.

With this system, a 2020 award Winner would be published alongside a winner from 5 or more years ago. In that time the premises could have changed dramatically, may no longer exist and it could be confusing or difficult to find our current Winners, with each passing year.

Following extensive consultation with our Award Winners, their Customers, the Press, and our fans and readers we have decided to only publish our current Good Food Award Winners to our websites with immediate effect. Over the coming days, all past award winners will be removed from our website.

By only showing our current award winners we want to bring additional clarity and focus and in turn exposure to our Good Food Award Winners.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our Good Food Award Winners, past and present, for taking part in our awards. Without those hard-working and conscientious owners who go that extra mile in providing Good Food, our awards would not be possible.

Business Owners wanting to be listed on our sites can apply by completing our registration form at goodfoodaward.com/register.
